Biography

Derrick A. Briddell, PT, DScPT, MS, SCS
Owner/Clinic Director

Dr. Briddell completed his B.S. in Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 1994. In 2001, he received his M.S. in Management/Health Care Administration from the University of Maryland University College. Dr. Briddell completed a Sports Physical Therapy Residency at Gundersen Lutheran Sports Medicine in LaCrosse, Wisconsin in 2002 and completed his Post-professional Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Medicine in 2005. He also became Board Certified in Sports Physical Therapy in 2005.

Dr. Briddell is a Physical Therapist with 13 years of experience in sports, orthopedic, neurologic, musculoskeletal, spine, geriatric, and joint replacement rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the American Academy of Physical Therapy (AAPT). Dr. Briddell is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

Additionally we are fully affiliated with our state association, the North Carolina Physical Therapy Association (NCPTA).

We are a member of Rehabilitation Associates Network (RAN), a group of independently-owned rehabilitation clinics who are striving to preserve quality health care and patient choice in health care. We undergo biannual accreditation and must adhere to strict National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) regulations.
