•Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy is the foundation for our clinical process. MDT is the only spinal assessment process in medicine that has been shown in the scientific literature to be inter-tester reliable and valid. It has been shown to be more reliable than MRI and strongly correlates with findings on CT discography.

 •Decreased treatment time, early return to function/work and decreased recurrence of condition is well established

•Ongoing communication with referring clinicians and case management teams is mandatory.

•We are successful with 90+ per cent of patients assessed without the need for imaging, injection procedures or surgery.

•All patients not responding as expected by third visit of care are presented at weekly Grand Rounds.  Weekly Rounds are set up in order that a group of clinicians can analyze each case to ensure that each patient is receiving optimal care.  A Diploma level MDT clinician will attend each Grand Round either in person or via teleconference.   Strategies are developed and put in place to either resolve the condition or ensure rapid, appropriate referral.  Each condition presenting to the clinic is unique, with it’s own set of solutions.
